Who We Are
DichroicBeads is not a large company like Rio Grande or Fire Mountain Gems and that's a good
thing; we provide one-on-one customer support and personally stand behind all
the components we sell. We are a small business and run everything out of
the barn in our new home in
Maine. We moved to Maine from NY in July of 2002. All of our beads,
cabochons and other components are made here, in Maine, by hand. When you call
you can speak directly with the artist, Nancy Tang.
We
ship out every single day via Federal Express Ground/Home. Also, when you order using the
shopping cart you'll see that you're ordering via Glass Orchids because all
three sites share the cart; this means you can order from all three sites before
checking out!
In addition to selling jewelry components, finished jewelry and
accessories and running DIchroicBeads, we also run a school and teach several different classes
in fusing, mostly using dichroic glass and in using Precious Metal Clay (PMC).
Feel free to ask us a question if you need help getting started with fusing,
dichroic glass or PMC. Advice and info are always free. We will be adding FREE How To
articles soon.

A note about
email: I get 100s of emails a
day. Many of them are smut or spam of some sort.
I have lots of filters set up to trap these. I
do look at the subject lines and addresses of
all email that comes in. However, if you send me
an email with no subject line I will probably
delete it without a glance. If I'm not at a show
I usually respond every day to email. If you
send me an email and I don't respond then there
is something wrong. Maybe I didn't get it or
maybe my filter thought it was spam and put it
in the delete folder. If you don't get a
response from me please DO email me again.
If
you request a catalog please note that I only
process these about once a month so I may not
respond right away. I also process many
wholesale requests only weekly unless you call
or email to my regular addy. I'm only one person
and sometimes life is a bit too full; when push
comes to shove something has to go. I apologize
in advance if you feel slighted by my failure to
respond. It's not intentional and I will get to
you. You are all important to me. So, if you
really want my attention, and you're not getting
it, feel free to call me and I'll be very happy
to stop and help you.
